Fuel Temp

Hi
Just one further question based on two routes, the second being a continuation of the same situation.
KORD - ZSPD - on departure fuel temp was -1, on landing -7
ZSPD - KJFK on departure fuel temp was -8, on landing -20
In this case - is there a way to 'warm up' the fuel before I take off again? Asking as temp on the ground is +8 and I would assume fuel being loaded would be about the same in temperature?
I appreciate I can 'warm up' the fuel by leaving the aircraft standing, just wonder if any other way e.g. during the refueling process?
Thanks
Carl

Hi,

the fuel you add will not influence your current fuel temperature.

Fueling in PSX is bascially the same as moving the Instructor's Fuel slider upward or entering greater quantity values in the tank edit fields. These functions do not change the fuel temperature.

To simulate fueling induced fuel temperature mixing seriously, I would have to introduce fuel temperature controls on the Instructor because during training you do not always want to change the temps when you just want to change the gross weight or fuel weight.

Hi

Ok thanks for reply. ... was just checking and - like a lot of things - more to consider after my initial thoughts.

Easily adjusted though on those rare times where I need to change.... hint.... acceleration x 64!

Thanks
