I did read the first few posts of this thread at the time.

Today I have just more or less read through the whole thread.  I had PS1 from around the mid 90's and found that such a good simulator. I was unable to get it to work when windows began to change as it did so I have been waiting quite a while for this to come out. I did even at one point consider going back to XP in order to still use PS1.

I have had my copy of PSX now for a couple of months, it is complicated, I did and still do struggle on quite a bit of it, but at my age (77) I have to expect that. Every question/problem that I have put on this forum has been answered with the greatest patients and cheerfulness. Unfortunately this cannot be said for other forums(Incidentally I have had every version of Microsoft simulator plus most of the others).

I thank Hardy for his programme and the Forum for all the help that I get.

Welcome to the forum! If you're looking for accuracy and realism, this is the place!  I spent several days asking questions here before finally ordering it a few weeks ago.

The only way I can summarize it is this: it's the best $400 I'll ever spend. I spent far more, cumulatively, on FS add-ons over the years, but none of them ever got close to what PSX has achieved. If you haven't placed your order yet, do so!  :twisted:  

I want to tell a little story. I am a private pilot, and bought myself a couple of hours of real 744 simulator at United Airlines Training Center in Denver, CO. That was back in 1999 PS1.3 era.

The instructor could´t believe I had not actually some formal education on 744 FMC and autopilot management. I felt at home, being for first time in a 744 cockpit, knowing which knob to turn (which way!)  and which button to push. Saved me a lot of time, and I could really enjoy the ride tip to tip.

When I mentioned that all I knew came from PS1.3 the guy still insisted asking if I had attended some ground school!

Thanx Hardy for such a quality product, I really enjoy it very much. Worth every penny!
