Yes there are people already using it using my PSXseecon software and mapping a CDU layout from a PSX instance onto the CDU screen.

At the end of february I'll release a version of PSXseecon that changes into a CDU screen when running, so you no longer need a PSX instance for it.

HOWEVER: this is only for Windows...

hi...that would be perfect, as i use my imac mainly on Windows 7 under bootcamp....as i think that the platform is much more stable than any other pc i ever had before. (and as i use FSX a lot as well)

so, your Software would be perfect...

Here a screen-shot.

It will also be possible to switch between CDU-L, CDU-C and CDU-R on 1 MCDU (keyboard and screen!).

Thank you Marc.
Version 1.4.3 is now up, with more improvements in the writing to the CDU screen, it's almost perfect now

Nico,

I am using the display functionality since yesterday and it works ok. Thanks.
Yhere is one thing I would like to be fixed and that is the titlebar. How can I get rid of it because it is now displayed on mu CDU screen.

Thanks for your great contribution to the community.

Hi Robert,

You should define the outer window (the PSXseecon main window) and the "inner CDU window" such that you have black space all around the CDU window. Then you can position the CDU window exactly over your CDU monitor.
(also make sure that your CDU monitor is EDIT: below your main monitor in Display->Screen resolution).

You need to fine tune these parameters in PSXseecon.cfg:

PSXSEECON_AS_CDU_WIDTH=925
PSXSEECON_AS_CDU_HEIGHT=650
CDU_WIDTH=620
CDU_HEIGHT=510
CDU_X_OFFSET=125
CDU_Y_OFFSET=50

It is all described in the Manual, section 3.19.

If this still does not work for you I'll investigate getting rid of the Title bar.

Nico

Nico, I tried that and I could put it everywhere I wanted. But I think the problem is that my CDU monitor is my main monitor.

Hi Robert,

Version 1.4.4 is up with a new parameter for PSXseecon.cfg:

CDU_BORDER=1 (default)

If 0 the window will be "clean", no Borders, no Title bar:

A drawback is that you now no longer can drag the window to its exact position... So you better start with CDU_BORDER=1 and drag it to its position. Then you re-start PSXseecon with CDU_BORDER=0, the window will go up and/or left a bit. Adjust this manually by slightly changing these parameters in PSXseecon.cfg:

MAIN_CDU_WINDOW_X
MAIN_CDU_WINDOW_Y

Everything is described in the Manual, section 3.19.

Succes!
Nico

I once faced the same dilemma and I solved it by programming the right mouse button to allow window dragging. This was out of the way of normal ops, and also pretty intuitive.

For modern touch screens, it may not be optimal, as they typically generate a right click or right drag when you hold your finger down for a moment.

Thanx kiek, but for some reason after 10.0.0.3 update it stopped working. Some mappings changed maybe?

Strange, nothing has changed; here it is still working with 10.0.3-beta15 and PSXseecon 1.4.8.

Please post further info and questions in the PSXseecon Forum.
Post your PSXseecon.cfg, sioc.ini and PSXseecon.log

Sorry, it was mine mistake, SIOC mapping with HW USB ids went wrong.

Thanks for the update. Is it possible to implement CDU window aspect ratio feature for non-square pixel displays?

I don't understand what you mean, can you be more specific?
You already can define the CDU window height and width...

If you set for example 500 height and 1000 width I want it to look like this:

Will it scale?

You should not do that...
CDU screens are usally 800*600.
How would you display 14 lines of 20 characters in a 500*1000 square?
