Gauge on FO panel...?

Noticed this panel on ebay - Its the FO Du selector - but there appears to be a slot for a gauge in there... any idea what that could be for?

Probably just a flight number reminder, with pushbuttons for mechanically setting the current flight number (xxxx).

Older 737's had something similar on the control wheels (on the arms which didn't have the stab trim switches).

Good catch, Hardy. This flight number reminder is also installed on some Japan Airlines aircraft -- N743CK (26350) -- now a BCF.
