I haven't noticed this in the past, as I just taxi to the gate and shut down PSX. This time, I thought I'd do a turn-around but noticed that the ACARS OOOI still displayed "ACARS POSTFLIGHT INDEX".

Is it because I didn't fully shut down the aircraft? What are the parameters that need to be met in order for the ACARS to reset to "PREFLIGHT INDEX"?

Just open a cabin door and wait 30 seconds.

P.S.: The preflight stuff is about fueling. If you don't shut down the engines and take-off again, there is no reason to fill that preflight stuff. The OOOI times, however, are reset when a new flight number or another airport is entered in the FMC.

Thanks Hardy, got it working! I entered the new flight plan and flight number, but I forgot to operate the doors via the service page on the Instructor station.

Opening the doors first, and then entering a new flight plan and/or number solved it.

And yes- the engines are off and the aircraft is on ground power while refulling for my 2nd leg.
