In the old Open Forum, a German lady had posted a kind of card/calendar. One was supposed to open the card/calendar at the relevant date through December, and get various Christmas messages.
Could someone please tell me what this card/calendar/tradition is called?
And some links to examples would be even more appreciated!

In german it's called Adventskalender.

When we were kids, our parents used to buy these for us. Big event for little kids opening a little window every day!
