Very Nice!

BTW: What rudder pedals are those he's using ?

RogerH

I don't know if you spotted it, but every other bar he misses a beat. I mean, I'm only an amateur musician, but even _I_ can count... ;-P

Martin Baker

A famous Welsh musician once demonstrated how easy it was to count in 7/8 or 7/4:

One, two, three, four, five, six, se - ven, One, two, three... :D

This one's even worse - he misses _two_ beats every other bar.

In all seriousness, being a musician of sorts myself, I can appreciate what you're saying Hardy.

He's really actually rather good isn't he?

Speaking of Drums...this is one of my favorite drum battles of all time:

Roger, what instrument do you play?

RogerH

Hi Hardy,

Rhythm and lead guitar and vocals in various bands over the years.

Look here if you really have nothing else to do!

Keeps me off street corners :-)

What about you? Wasn't one of your compositions the soundtrack to a Kai Tak video?

RogerH

My favourite drum battle - from 'Blah-Blah' the local (well, international) band in Antibes when I used to work there.

The lead singer is on the drums and the drummer is the one standing.

Great band to go out and have a party.

And since we're at - preferred performers - here's one of mine :-)

Nice voice, Roger: https://youtu.be/N6dJF-QYKlo -- and I like your Strat sound :-)

I play guitar. Yes, "Kai Tak Mania" etc. Actually, I haven't played for a while. I should restart, but I'm too lazy to fix that broken string ...

Lol! Just play with 5 - when I was a teenager I used to do that quite a lot due to the expense of new strings. Once, at uni, I was playing my 12-string guitar in the bar - but due to spending all my student grant on beer, i could not afford new strings, so I'd taken off six of the them. Two Icelandic students had a £500 bet whether I was playing a 6-string or a 12-string guitar. Can't remember how they resolved it because in a way they were both right. But, £500 in 1977? My whole grant for the year was only £900!

It's a tex-mex strat played thorugh a Marshal 40w tube combo with a Boss Blues distortion pedal.
