Joystick?

Hi,

I am contemplating to purchase a good joystick for manual flight. Currently I am only using my keyboard. Is there any benefit on the aircraft control in manual flight mode when using a joystick vs. keyboard? If yes, any recommendations for the right joystick brand?
Thanks.

If you buy a joystick be sure that it has a Hall Effect sensor. These are mor stabile

What Ton posted, for sure, and if you are willing to spend less than what one can pay for some really expensive solutions, I would suggest going any of the T-16000 variants ( http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/t16000m-fcs-hotas )

If you also decide to add rudder pedals, then I would suggest Saitek Combat Pro, or the T. Flight Rudder Pedals from Thrustmaster.

One other advantage of T.16000M joystick is that you can use it in left or right handed configuration. I am right handed and I use it left handed. This way, my right hand controls mouse (Thrust, flaps, gear...).

Thanks! Will check it out!
