Hey Guys

Cant seem to get a hold of FDS because  it is a Sunday.

Does anyone know if there is a difference interface software then PSX Interface to be used for this quadrant. It seems quite a few switches are missing such as Stab trim cutout, secondary trim...

Looking forward to your response.

Yes, there is a different software package.  You can download it here:

Jon,

We are currently experiencing issues when trying to open the psxbridgecontainer java file. It opens a browser window with an error.

Any chance you know how to get over this error?

Thanks
Gilad

What version of Java are you using?

Hi Gilad,

the latest Java version is version 12 or 13.

"2.2.1" is not a version number of the Java series, as far as I know.

You can see your Java version number in PSX when you go to Instructor > About. The text in the white box can be marked with the mouse, and you can paste and copy it here.

Download this version and see if it runs the program.

Cheers,

Our Java Version is 7.

We were able to load the program and the error disappeared. Now we are having this Error 500 again but this time at a different stage.

We try to configure the phidget and we get the same  HTTP Error 500.

Please see the youtube video below to see where we get the error:

I watched it.  I noticed that you saved the application after assigning the serial number of the Phidgets card but didn't go further to assign variables to the card.  Could you assign some of the variable to the card and then see if it will save it okay?  If you want to move this discussion to email i"m at jonboe50(AT)gmail.com.

To the ones who know this throttle quadrent.

Does it have red fire indicating lights on the fuel cutoff switches?

jb747

No, not in any of the units that I've worked with.  The software will support it if/when it is added.

Thanks JB.

I have a few more questions regarding the speed brakes maybe you can answer.

1. Do they go to UP position physically on a reject or landing if Armed?

2. The ARM and FLT Detents. Do they work for you? I can go all the way to UP in the air but if I push down on the lever while moving it towards the UP position it will stop at the ARM position as well as the FLT detent. I assume, its something I need to fix...

Thanks.

jb747

Yes, the speedbrake performs as dictated by PSX.  Did you calibrate the servo when the speedbrakes are down so that if you didn't arm them on approach they will deploy?  There is a servo that raises the lever from the down to the arm position if you forget to set it or in the case of an RTO.

Hey Jon,

Actually not yet.

The plan is to do it tomorrow.
The question is what will make the lever stop at the FLT detent and now call all the way to UP during flight when moving the lever?

jb747

I think maybe you are having a calibration issue.  With my setup if I manually move the SB beyond the Detent position it moves it back to that position when I release the lever.

We got a foot of snow that I have to go out and shovel.  I'll see if I verify stuff after that.  The speedbrake also retracts per PSX when you advance the throttles for taxi after landing.
