Solder without a soldering iron....

They still need a heat gun. There have been a few YouTube videos on their effectiveness. They are handy, but the solder doesn't alway flow properly reducing the strength of the connection.

I've used this system for literally hundreds of wire joints whilst building various stages of my simulator(s).
I've never experienced any failures. The secret is to use a hot air smd soldering gun. The joint is strong not only due to the solder but also for the fact that after heating to set the solder joint, the wires are held securely by hot melt sealant  contained in the joining tube.
