Hardy,

In PSX, how much more (average, percentage-wise) do PW4056s and RB211-524Gs burn over GE CF6-80C2B1Fs?

I was hoping to run a few tests to find out myself, but I'm short on time. I thought that perhaps you might know from memory.

Thank you,

Mariano

I don't know, Mariano. The performance database consists of thousands of records and parameters. Nothing is linear.

Thanks.

From research I did, the PW are the most fuel efficient. Looking at the range charts, you get maximum range with the PW4062.

I have found it to be an interesting engine to fly, too. It doesn't like slower speeds, and the aircraft will be harder to accelerate at altitude if you get it slow vs. the RR engine for example.

Climb to 40000 ft and try some level accelerations with both engines. The PW will force you to descend.

You also get slower initial acceleration. The RR has the aircraft jumping off the runway by comparison, but the PW seems to like higher airspeeds.
