Thus far I have been using PSX on a MacBookPro, but am now trying to install the program from the purchased disk (V10.0) to a new PC I acquired. So far without luck! When I double-click on the installer file, nothing happens. Java is installed. What am I missing? I am using Windows 10, V. 1809.
Appreciate any help.

Try right-clicking on it and choosing "run as administrator".

In order to be able to upgrade, after initial install, into the most recent version also make sure you upgrade your Java to the latest version, as per: http://aerowinx.com/board/index.php?topic=4191.0

Thanks, but by right-clicking I don't get the option to run the file as 'administrator'.

Ok, my bad :-/

Right clicking over the "installer.jar" file you should then be able to get "Open with..." and from there choose something like "Java(TM) Platform SE binary". Does it start the installer that way?

cdpohl

Nope, it doesn't seem to work. By right-clicking I get the choice of all sorts of programs to open the file with but there is no reference to Java. I have installed Java version 1.8.0 _211. Maybe Java is the culprit. I'll have a good look at it. Thanks so much.

see this thread for a link to a program called 'jarfix' perhaps it will solve the problem

Problem solved. 'Jarfix' worked for me. Thank you all so much.
