Stupid question, but does it include the actual MCDU? Do you have any photos?

It's a conversion kit. It assumes you acquired a real MCDU pulled from a scrapped aircraft. For various reasons it does not work nicely if you attempt to use a real unchanged MCDU in your sim. So the people in Australia all turned to ripping the electronics out of the MCDUs and replace them by a new display but using the existing real keyboard, and then driving the display with a dedicated computer running partial PSX.

This kit is what you need for this conversion.

GodAtum,

Jeroen is right. Basically, a genuine MCDU 744 must be dismantled and its electronic cards removed, as well as the original CRT display. Only remains unchanged the keyboard. Instead, you must install the dedicated and pre-configured SimStack foundation plate that controls all inputs, annunciators and backlighting and a new 5.6" LCD display with VGA interface which is included in the kit. The connection to PSX is through your local Ethernet network. Done this, the unit would be ready-to-fly.

If you need more information, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you!
