BACARS Printout Line Spacing

Gary,

If I copy and paste my own load sheet (from Notepad) into the free text feature of BACARS and then send it to the aircraft, when it prints, the line spacing always seems quite large. While in Notepad, line spacing is fine.

Is there a trick to have the onboard printer print with the same line spacing of the source document (Notepad, Word, etc.)?

Thank you once again for giving us BACARS.

Best regards,

Mariano

Can you paste and post your raw Notepad text here? I'd like to see whether there are any line feeds in the original, copied text.

Mariano

Will do so.

Might be tomorrow (but I'll try doing so tonight).

I played with the limited line spacing option in Notepad to no avail, but I've been known for being dumb with these things.

Best regards,

Mariano

Mariano,

Pop a copy of the original file here and I can take a look.

We probably just need to trim a line feed off it.

Cheers

Hardy/Gary,

Attached, please find a link to copy of a sample message I uplinked to PSX via BACARS message feature. In both Notepad and BACARS uplink window, line spacing seems standard; not so once printed.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you very much,

Mariano

Yep I see the issue...

I will update BACARS to resolve the issue as soon as I can.

Many thanks, Gary.

Hi Gary
While you're at it, you might check my note on the other BACARS thread - small error in Total Time on schedule board when flight spans before and and after midnight UTC.
Thanks,
Torrence
