Dear Forum Contributors.

Has anyone used or use the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Joystick with PSX? Does it work well? Could one use it without using rudder pedals?

Thanking you.
Marius.

Marius,

May I gently suggest using the Search function? There are many posts on this topic, some of them recent.

Quick answers to your questions:

a) Yes, it works very well.

b) To use it without rudder pedals your only option (apart from adding another controller, that is) would be to use the "Slider" axis as your rudder control. Since, however, this moves forward and backward and not from side to side, you will need to train your brain....

Cheers,

If you're going to shell out the cash for the Warthog, you'll probably want to shell out the cash for a set of rudder pedals as well. Like these:

But to your question, the Warthog throttles and joystick work excellently with PSX. I find that they give a certain heft and gravitas to the experience. They have a meaningful feel about them, as does PSX.
