Hi,

According to the Aerowinx manual, each time you press the V key, the first officer says the next checklist item.
It Cycles infinitely through all checklists (when the last item of a flight is reached, continues at the first item, or vice versa)

For example, if you choose Sarah as your (British Airaways) first/officer (you may use different first/officer from a different airline)

You have performed the electrical power up procedure.
The first time you press V, the f/o announce :
« COCKPIT SAFETY CHECKLIST.»

Press again V :
She announces :
« Battery switch »
You should check then answer « ON »

Press again V:
« Stby power sw  »

Press again V
« Hyd dem pumps»

Press again V:
« Windshld wiper sws »

Press again V
« Alternate flap sel »

Press again V
« Landing gear lev »

« Press again V
« Flap pos ind & lev »

The first check/list is complete.
You press again V:
« Cockpit safety checklist complete »

« PREFLIGHT CHECKLIST COMPLETE »

Perfect. I will report back with my learnings..Thanks again for your time.
747 is not an airplane, it is a symbol of inspiration....

In case it's of interest to anyone, I made some custom BA 747 checklist audio files, using a friend's voice, to reflect the more up-to-date BA checklists as used by the simfest crew. Simply copy the .pilot file and accompanying folder into the Audio/Pilots directory of your Aerowinx folder. There may be errors - I'm very happy to make corrections as necessary. The volume suits my own PSX set-up, but can be adjusted to taste.

Martin-

That's great- I was just pestering Peter about exactly that!

Will give it a go tonight- Ta!

PS- any chance your version has the MISSED APP ALT during Landing Checks? Non-standard now, but INCREDIBLY useful...

It doesn't have Missed App Alt as it's not on the current checklists as far as I'm aware. Here's what I recorded:

Cockpit safety checklist
Battery switch
Standby power switch
Hydraulic demand pumps
Windshield wiper switches
Alternate flap selector
Landing gear lever
Flap position indicator & lever
Cockpit safety checklist completed
Pre-flight checklist
Inspection & security
Oxygen
Flight instruments
Park brake
Fuel control switches
PFD
Takeoff speeds
CDU Preflight
Radios
Taxi & takeoff briefing
Pre-flight checklist completed
Before start checklist
Flight deck door
Passenger signs
Beacon
Transponder
Before start checklist completed
Before taxi checklist
Flight controls
Anti-ice
Recall / status
Autobrakes
Flaps
Ground crew clearance
Before taxi checklist completed
Before take-off checklist
Final load sheet
Flaps
Trim
Takeoff briefing
Runway Speeds, EPR, VNAV
Cabin report
Transponder
Before take-off checklist completed
After take-off checklist
Landing gear
Flaps
Air conditioning
Altimeters
After take-off checklist completed
Descent checklist
Recall
Autobrakes
Landing data
Briefing
Descent checklist completed
Approach checklist
Altimeters
Approach checklist completed
Landing checklist
Speedbrake
Landing gear
Flaps
Cabin report
Landing checklist completed
After landing checklist
Speedbrake
Weather radar
Exterior lights
Flaps
Transponder
Trim
After landing checklist completed
Shutdown checklist
Park brake
Hydraulic demand pumps
Fuel pump switches
Beacon
Doors
Fuel control switches
Transponder
Seatbelt signs
ACARS
Shutdown checklist completed
Secure checklist
IRS
Emergency exit lights
Packs
APU
External power
Standby power switch
Battery switch
Secure checklist completed

But being a lone person in my virtual cockpit with a poor memory I was thinking of doing a version conflating the old and new BA checklists, as well as adding a few extras which I would find personally helpful to make them idiot-proof. Here is what I had in mind, although I see that doesn't include the Missed App Alt either:

Cockpit safety checklist

Taxi & takeoff briefing
Pre-flight checklist completed
Before start checklist
External power
Hydraulic demand pumps
Fuel pumps
Packs
Beacon
External doors
Flight deck door
Passenger signs
Transponder
Right chrono
Before start checklist completed
Before taxi checklist

Happy to add/delete/adjust and then post a link up here if it's of interest. If you'd like the shorter version with the Missed App Alt added that's very easy for me to do, just let me know and I'll post it as an optional alternative.

Yes it's a memorable name in the aviation world!

Martin-

I have downloaded, and it is clear and clean- ta!  If possible, I wouldn't mind the addition of MISSED APPROACH ALTITUDE/SET in the Landing Checklist portion, but I am willing to wait until others chime in and provide feedback.  In discussions with Peter, it is not in the current version as BA wanted to mimic Boeing CLs... still, for a Git like me, it is a helpful memory aide!

Hi C. I've added another voice (BAW 4 - Clare) which has the addition of Missed Approach Altitude to the landing checklist. The new .pilot file and voice folder are in the same link as above. (You don't mess with Clare...!)

Glad the files I put up yesterday work well. I have plenty of time at the moment if anyone else has custom requests.

MISSED APPROACH ALTITIUDE

Is not in the current BAW B744 Landing Checklist which has been streamlined & now follows the Boeing philosophy in a closer way than it did in the past.  Move with the times Carl ... embrace change.

Do additional Pilots/Checklists have to be copied across the network to all clients, or is it sufficient for the Server computer to have them stored?

Ta- C

I take the precaution of putting them in server every client, so I don't get confused, but I think the important thing is that they are present on whichever server/client is producing the PNF audio? M

cavaricooper

I'm not sure Martin, and as my Server is not my Audio Machine, I wanted to be sure.

• Audio files are not copied through the network.
• Sound is not streamed through the network.
• All name selections on the Situation > Human subpages refer to local files.

For these 3 reasons the files must exist in all network instances (in the server and in all clients).
