hello,

I tried 1001 times to connect x-view with x-plane 9 as well as x-plane 10 (demo versions) with psx. Unfortunately without success.
this is the xview logfile:

btw psx with fsx via visualpsx works, but with stutters

If you google "Winsock error 10061" you will get answers like:

Winsock error 10061 means that the server you are attempting to connect to is actively refusing the connection.  This usually results from trying to connect to a service that is inactive on the foreign host.

This suggests that XView is attempting to establish the connection with PSX, but PSX is not responding.

Go into the PSX Instructor window "Preferences, Basic" and check that you are connecting to "localhost" if you are on the same machine, and that the port numbers are correct.  Go into the network tab and check that you are listening on the main and boost servers.  I would also set RELAY_BOOST_DATA=FALSE until you sort out your network problems.

Try opening the connection to PSX with a telnet client to check the network.

I am not sure whether running with the demo version of XP has any deleterious effects - I have never tried that - but it would seem from your log file that XView was working and doing its best to connect.

Hello Mike,

thanks for reply.
I have done everything as per instructions, but it does not work properly. When I start x-plane in KSEA with PSX-plane running I press P and start PSX.
PSX start with all panels working. When PSX is running I press P again in x-plane and the panels getting dark in PSX. End of story

I suggest it has something to do with the fact that the demo version is only working with the KSEA airport, but for this airport one can not create a Situation in PSX but only 500 feet before touch down. So whenever you create this situation it crashed to fatal Damage before I can save this situation for next start.

I will get one 'full version' and keep trying and report.

Claus-Jürgen

Btw  whenever I change the IP address to that one which is mentioned in PSX it will not be saved in xview cfg

I haven't tried it, but you should be able to create a situation for KSEA in the PSX position tab.  Try a flying one, as the runways in X-Plane have big slopes and this might cause an altitude mismatch before the two sims are synchronised.

Start PSX first.  Make sure both servers are listening and then start X-Plane.

I have seen some black screens recently in both X-Plane and PSX.  This never used to happen so I expect LR have introduced a glitch into the system.

Regarding the saving of parameters in XView.cfg, this won't work if X-Plane crashes as the parameters are saved in the XView normal shutdown process.

X-view is shown as client no 3 (Server MPC, 1 Pedestal 2 OHP) but comming from FS 2004/FSX it is rather difficult to fiddle in X-plan) but I am working on it.

Meanwhile thanks for kind assistance

Great.  Have fun with it.
