Indian Whisk(e)y

My brother in law has recently been to India for a business trip and came home with stories about Indian whisk(e)y and its assumed qualities.

Can the usual suspects comment on this statement and suggest practical ways to investigate its truth value, if possible linked to 747 events such as World Flight?

Never heard of "Indian whisk(e)y" but I experienced "Indian special tea".

Many restaurants do not have a license to serve alcoholic drinks. But the tourists are known to love beer, so some clever restaurants serve the beer in a tea pot/tea cups which does not attract attention...

So if alcohol is prohibited during your World Flight sessions I suggest you prepare yourself a "special tea"

Holger is absolutely right ... restaurants need a license to serve
alcoholic drinks, and many of those who don't have one will serve you the beer in a teapot.

It's illegal, yes, but I find it charming somehow.
After all, come on, beer is not really the work of the devil.

Hoppie, if your brother-in-law refers to whisk(e)y literally, then there are several
brands of cheap hooch that the lower-income common man can
afford to buy.
It is not liquor to be smelled and savoured, but it will certainly help you
fall on the floor,  and yet not send you to the hospital next morning.

There is also the 'country' liquor (not called whisky),  which the poorest
of the poor drink.  This is illegally brewed and sold liquor.
Every five or six months, a bad batch will send a neighbourhood to the
hospital, and some even lose their eyesight.
A sad outcome of bad policies.
Certainly not recommended for WorldFlight.

Would be interested to know exactly what your brother-in-law drank.

Cheers,
Shiv
