Driver for FDS-MX-MCP747
For those of you who have purchased the latest FDS MCP (https://flightdeck-solutions.myshopify.com/collections/b747/products/fds-b747-mx-mcp) you will find the existing FDS-GLARE software doesn't support it.
There is a new driver which I have written which you can download below.
Please note there has been limited testing on the demo unit FDS lent me. Any issues are no doubt down to me rather than their hardware.
Prereqs
Requires .NET 4.6.1 From https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=49981
Download and Install
1) Download from https://www.dropbox.com/s/tbkyrc79looawk8/FDS-MX-MCP747_V1.2.zip?dl=0
2) Unzip to a folder of your choice
3) Run the FSX-MX-MCP747.EXE
4) Enter your PSX Server IP and Port if not running on the same PC
5) Click Save and Connect
6) The program will automatically attempt to connect on load the next time it is opened, so can be added to the system startup.

Does this also work on the old model, Gary?
Peter
No sorry Peter...
Hey Gary!
So ive tried it and it says its connected but nothing shows up on the MCP. I did get the mach and heading to show up at one point but then it went away... Is there anything in aerowinx that I have to configure to get it working again.
Also is there any other driver I would have to install for the MCP to make sure its reading it as a COM Port?
Thanks again for the help
Interesting, i wonder if it's worth upgrading my old MCP?
Hi,
I will do a fresh install on another pc and check you don't need anything else.
Give me a few hours.
Cheers

Thanks so much!
Hello again,
So by chance it worked but now I can't get it to work again... I had the Driver you gave me Gary and I also downloaded the FDS-Glare Software and ran them both together with the 10747 port. It worked and everything on the MCP was fully functional. Unfortunately when I turned it off and back on again I couldn't get it to work. I'm thinking its something to do with aerowinx and the clients its trying to connect to. Any input on that?
Thanks!
Godfrey,
I have installed on a fresh machine here and it seems to work fine... However I know I had the interface IT SDK installed at some point.
Try installing :-
http://www.tekworx.com/get_download.php?download=Setup-interfaceIT_API_v1.10.18.zip
You definitely do not need to run FDS-GLARE at the same time. However now thats installed it may have fixed anything I have missed to install.
I am happy to chat on skype if you have a moment? Add me 'gazuk21' and I can teamviewer and have a look for you.

Thanks Gary! I will try that! Unfortunately I'm not near the setup now but I will have to try again tomorrow morning thanks again!
Good morning Gary
I use a new FDS MX-MCP. 747 in place of my old FC1 MCP which doesn't match with PSX.
I can t use FSX-MX-MCP747.EXE in the system startup because it generates an error when PSX starts. To work well, I need to launch it manualy after PSX has started.
Howewer, I also 2 others issues :
- VS wheel doesn't work. 7 segments window is ok but I can t change value with wheel. That works with PSX Screen.
- FO EFIS is not opérational.
Can you help me please?
Many thanks To you
All,

Gary are you or are you intending to use the aircraft MCP if so I may be able to help you
I already am using the real MCP.... this is for users of the FDS hardware. Which I do not use, hence why there was an unresolved bug :-)
because I dont have your email do you have ALL MCP functions? as you well know the MCP is a bit of a beasty
Looks the same as the FDS MCP we have. Would love to get some info on what does this driver actually accomplish?
Thanks.
