Interesting :-) I just ran PSX (circling over CYYZ) simultaneously with YouTube, starting that video at 5:20.

The YYZ rhythm and tempo from PSX agreed with the music from the browser. Not only that; the pitch of the morse tones agreed as well. The VOR tones are at 1020 Hz. The song's tuned to something like C. Rather slightly lower, I think, to match the 1020 Hz from the VOR tone. Normally, C is 1046 Hz.

Had to set the ACP filter to R to filter out the voice ATIS on the YYZ VOR :-)

Well, regarding the rhythm, I exaggerated a bit :-) They don't play the pauses between the Morse letters. But within the letter codes, when the start of a letter is hit, they agree with the VOR.

I thought so -- have been breaking my ears/head over it for the last ten minutes and it is darned hard to keep the letters separated in your head even if you know the code.

Cool music, though.  Needs to be WorldFlighted.

The triangel beats at the beginning of the song YYZ by Rush implicate the morse code for YYZ as airport.

Not only the triangel -- the whole first part is the morse code, but they have removed the inter-letter spacing.

Jeroen, you're right. Also the drums, guitar and bass fill in after 2 bars of triangel in the same rythm.

The notes that are played are 16th notes for the dits and 8th notes for the dahs.
Having the tablature in front of me we can surely state that the morse code played is YYZ.

BTW, Rush is my all time favourite band. Started to follow them in my very first teen year which was in 1977.

I've been following Rush since about 1977 too! In fact, I think it's taken me since that time to finally figure out how to play the hardest part of my favorite album.

Mighty project!  :-D

I know the feeling. In the past I've spent quite some time "mastering" (ahem) BWV565. Got it into my fingers, almost into my spine, never into my brain  :-(

Bach is one of my favorites. Maybe this should be my next project.
